About
Hi, I'mSharjeel.
I'm the founder and editor of Kismet Finds: a small, independent guide to the home and kitchen things that are actually worth buying, and the ones that aren't.

Most "best of" lists read like ads. They praise everything, hide the downsides and never tell you who should walk away. I started Kismet Finds to write the opposite: short, specific guides that make a clear call and explain it.
I don't get free products, and I won't pretend to have tested every item by hand. My job is the slow part most shoppers skip: reading through the reviews, specs and questions real buyers ask, spotting the patterns in what goes wrong, and writing down plainly who each thing suits.
If I wouldn't tell a friend to buy it, it doesn't go on the site.
How we research
Four rules behind every pick.
- 01
We read the complaints first
One-star reviews, return reasons and buyer questions show what breaks, leaks or disappoints. That is where we start.
- 02
It has to fix something you can see
A calmer drawer, a chore done in half the time, a room that feels warmer. If the difference is hard to notice, it does not make the list.
- 03
Every pick names who should skip it
Nothing suits everyone. Each recommendation comes with its honest downside, written up front rather than buried.
- 04
No paid placements, no fake urgency
Brands cannot pay to be included. We leave prices out because they change daily; you check the live price yourself.
What we leave out
- Supplements, food and anything you eat or put on your skin.
- Baby-safety products and car seats: those deserve specialist testing.
- Uncertified electrical items and anything with a pattern of safety complaints.
- Prices and star ratings: they change too often to stay accurate.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with research, drafting, voiceovers and video editing. A person reviews every pick and every video before it goes out. We never present AI-generated people as real customers, and we never fake a product's results.
How the site makes money
As an Amazon Associate, Kismet Finds earns from qualifying purchases. When you buy through a link here, the site may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what gets recommended, and brands don't pay to be included. If a brand ever sends a sample, the post will say so. Read the full disclosure.
